What will happen to the world of art and conceptual painting in the future?

What will happen to the world of art and conceptual painting in the future?

We describe changes of the world of art based on its today's trends, however half-heartedly degradation of human individuals generates also degradation of human culture, visible with the naked eye. This century, of course, will make more changes to art, the industry and culture, than we saw for last one thousand years. New trends and new players radically will change our concepts and the ideas. From large players today – whether it be artists, architects or dealers in works of art, only one or two will remain the annals of art history. The main reason will be that that changes will be faster and trends shorter.

Pictures will disappear from interiors.

The original picture on the wall will be replaced by the screen picture, which can be entered in an interior. The screen that allows to adjust any picture and also to obtain information will take the place of a picture. Social networks will dictate this fashion of changing. From painting in the home, there can be a poster left. Collecting and understanding of painting will become destiny of the elite.

No place for small galleries.

It will be an era of the big generalized galleries and small and specialized galleries. Galleries will have to define themselves as the large retailers similar to large expensive shops or have to be transformed to very specialized boutiques or the centres of certification. The number of galleries will sharply decrease as the number of painting lovers will decrease. The dealer in works of a hobby of art or the socially oriented dealer with dozen of painters, will become a part of the annals of history soon, as well as photographers, engravers and video artists. Applied types of painting and painting of household objects – furniture, electricians, etc. will be popular.

Physical auctions will disappear but we’ll see new names.

Though auctions are remaining an important way to sale of expensive works of art, new technologies, guarantee that golden days of physical auctions are finished. However, old auction houses will not disappear anywhere. At the same time, both the price of lot, and the price of high-quality determination of authenticity will increase. New art superstars appear.

There will be a promoting of the photo and applied art

Small-scale types of creativity become extremely successful. It is about decorated household items. It is quite far from art; however, it individualize life more and such tastes will be widely presented in shops. All population, which will attend, naturally, photo exhibitions – at all not with a commercial purpose will be photographers.

There will be a further differentiation of art and consumer goods.

Household objects will become brighter and individual. At the same time small-scale production of cheap consumer goods will sharply separate them from objects of art, demand for which will decrease, but the price per unit of the certified originals – grow

China, India and Japan will dominate in Asia

There are 2 billion Chinese and Indians among Asians, who, along with Japanese, will dominate over the art markets. While at first, they will focus on own national artists, it will awaken interest in wider Southern Asian and to Southeast Asian art soon. The serious shortage of fairs of the modern art and the museums in this region will end, and we will see surprising number of new arts centres and events in the cities of the Mumbai and Shanghai type, and emergence in Asia of new museums and galleries.

The United States will remain the biggest art markets also for conceptual painting.

The USA will remain to the largest art buyers, and most of art superstars will continue to be Americans. One of the main reasons for this phenomenon – concentration of money, art and intellectual values.
