About objective and relative time and about gigantic turtles.

It is better to stand still than to go the wrong way. Jewish wisdom.

Some wise men - from the days of the past - understood human nature well enough to prefer to talk mainly about rules that are understandable to a simple man in the street, focusing on everyday trifles, such as food and dormitories. There were more and more such rules, and, as a result, the handwritten multi-volume version appeared. Moreover, it appeared in different religions and in different languages. And, as usual, the forest of knowledge disappeared behind the trees of laws and customs. Today, hosts of such "lawyers" consider the events of past epochs from today's point of view, trying not to touch on the main issues of existence – time and space.

However, people had quite an adequate idea of the world around them before. By the word "adequate" we mean something that quite suits people for their practical purposes. If we consider the ideas about space, it was limited by the range of interests and opportunities and, by and large, corresponded as little to the realities as today's concept. As for the ancient texts, one thought haunts - was the language of the ancestors as rich in the meanings of words as the language of today? Or, nevertheless, was it simpler and more specific? It is logical to assume the latter option, rather than the presence of "new lingo" among our ancestors. And this means that it was a giant tortoise at the base of the earth, modernized to meet the domestic needs of the time. Which, in turn, means a stretch and inaccuracy in the modern description of the ideas of our ancestors.

Having said A, one should also say B, having started talking about space, one should also talk about the temporal representations of the ancestors. And they, these ideas, seemed to include objective or linear time, along with personal time, perceiving subjective time as something relative. In this case, it was possible to explain the necessity and purpose of the coming of the Messiah, for example, to the ancient Jews. The inevitability of the coming of the Messiah was unquestionable, as well as the uncertainty of the time of his coming. This connected time and space into a single whole and gave meaning to human existence, turning uncertainty into specifics. We can only add that our current ideas about the substance called time, if we throw out the modern verbiage, are as far from meaning as before. Also, it should be remembered that Knowledge is an elite medicine that is not digested on an empty stomach – with all the ensuing consequences. And that the thoughts expressed exist only in the form of assumptions, because the human computer is weak, and the statistics were not developed in those ancient times.
